What You’ll Do

As Group Financial Controller, you'll oversee financial reporting, consolidations, and audits across 20+ entities. Reporting to the Group Head of Accounting, you’ll manage month-end close, lead audit cycles, ensure IFRS/local GAAP compliance, and ensure accuracy of all financial statements.

  • Oversee financial reporting and statutory accounts for various business units.
  • Manage end-to-end audit cycles, stakeholder communication, and timely submission of obligations.
  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS/local GAAP.
  • Oversee the consolidation process across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Manage intercompany eliminations and reconciliations, ensuring proper accounting treatment.
  • Review reconciliations and month-end journal entries for completeness and accuracy.
  • Provide detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and variance analyses with strategic insights.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes across departments.
  • Participate in financial systems development to support business growth.
  • Review and enhance internal processes and controls for efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Partner with other finance departments like Tax and FP&A.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Group Head of Finance.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5+ years in a financial reporting role, with a strong record in consolidation, ideally within igaming or cryptocurrency sectors (a bonus).
  • Experience with IFRS, GAAP, and multi-jurisdictional reporting, including consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
  • Proficiency with financial consolidation tools (e.g., Anaplan) and accounting software (e.g., Xero), along with advanced Excel skills.
  • ACA or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive approach to process efficiency.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Leadership skills to manage and develop a team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
