Jobsworth Recruitment Solutions LTD in Oswestry, Shropshire, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations and help shape the finance function.

You will manage purchase and sales ledgers, month-end processes, and provide reliable financial reporting, with a hands-on approach and strong accounting knowledge. This is a full-time, permanent role offering £50,000–£60,000 per annum.

Qualificações

• Significant experience in a senior accounts or finance role.
• Strong working knowledge of Xero or a similar accounting system.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Experience overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger and month-end processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including purchase ledger, sales ledger and general accounting activities.
• Manage invoice processing, supplier payments, journals and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Act as a key point of contact for supplier queries and internal finance-related matters.
• Support month-end and year-end processes, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Oversee financial reporting and analysis, providing clear and accurate information to support business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and increase efficiency across the finance function.
• Provide guidance and oversight to the accounts team, helping to maintain high standards and effective working practices.
• Support ad hoc financial projects and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.
