Job summary

HW Finance is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the management accounting function. This is a hands-on role involved in the month end process, system changes, and managing a small team.

The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong management accounting background. This position offers a salary of £60-65k depending on experience, within a fast-growing construction and manufacturing business.

Qualifications

• Strong management accounting or financial reporting background.
• Proactive and professional in approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management accounting and reporting function across a division.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors.
• Review financial statements, month end and year end accounts.
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate any discrepancies.
• Business partner operational and commercial leaders to support decisions.
• Work closely with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts.
• Present meaningful financial analysis and commentary.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Ad hoc support to Financial Controller and wider team.
