Overview

We are seeking a talented Finance Manager to join our Finance & Procurement team and play a pivotal role in strengthening the Brigade’s financial leadership, governance, and performance.

Reporting to the Head of Finance & Procurement, you will lead high-quality payroll, accountancy, and financial management services across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated finance professional who thrives in a dynamic public-sector environment and enjoys building strong, collaborative relationships.

The postholder will represent the Brigade with professionalism and integrity, modelling excellent conduct, ethical practice, inclusivity, and organisational effectiveness. A uniform will be provided in line with the Brigade’s Dress and Appearance Policy.

This is a rewarding role where you will make a meaningful contribution to a vital public service. You will play a key part in ensuring financial sustainability, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping us deliver value for money for our local communities.

Competitive Salary (Grade G/H: £39,862–£49,282)
Start on £39,862 while working toward qualification, progressing to £46,142 once qualified
Fully qualified applicants start at £46,142
