Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a diverse and well‑established private group with a broad portfolio across the South of England and Wales.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hands‑on leadership role within a central finance team supporting a complex multi‑entity group structure. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing day‑to‑day financial operations, implementing controls, supporting strategic decision‑making, and driving process improvements across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing a finance team
• Production of management accounts across multiple entities
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management
• VAT oversight, including proportional VAT
• Inter‑company reconciliations and group reporting activities
• Supporting systems improvements and finance process enhancements
• Preparing financial analysis, board reports and operational reporting

Candidates will ideally have previous group company experience, strong VAT knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and experience working across multiple accounting systems. Strong leadership experience and the confidence to build effective working relationships across operational teams are essential.
