Job summary

Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to lead day-to-day financial operations, report to the FD, and provide financial insight to the board.

You will prepare full management accounts, perform variance analysis, oversee payroll and VAT, and develop a small team. The role offers a market-leading salary and a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified or finalist level accountant with demonstrable experience in finance leadership.
• Experience in preparing full sets of management accounts and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Strong analytical mind with initiative and ability to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day financial operations of the group.
• Prepare full sets of management accounts including P&L and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Perform variance analysis with commentary for leadership.
• Streamline month-end processes and controls.
• Manage and develop a small team of transactional staff.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and statutory accounting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Contribute to business/financial projects as required.
• Handle VAT submissions and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee monthly payroll and identify process improvements.

Job description

Our client, a long established multifaceted business, is seeking a Finance Manager to join their busy team. It's an excellent opportunity to put your own stamp on already successful and growing business.

Reporting to the FD with exposure to the Board of Directors, your duties include:

• Overseeing much of the Group's day to day financial operations
• Preparing full sets of management accounts including balancesheet reconciliations and P&L
• Variance analysis against budget and providing commentary for the leadership team
• Streamlining month end processes where applicable
• Managing and developing a small team of transactional staff
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and Statutory Accounting
• Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
• Contribute to business/financial projects as and when required
• VAT submissions and bank reconciliations
• Overseeing monthly payrollIdentify areas for business and process improvement through analysis and financial insight

The ideal candidate will be either a fully Qualified Accountant or finalist level. You will also have a demonstrative track record in similar roles and come equipped with plenty of initiative as well as an analytical mind.
