Job summary

Pratap Partnership Ltd, a growing SME, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to own the finance function. You will report to the MD and Directors and provide financial insight, control and commercial support to the business.

You will oversee monthly finance cycle, management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital and statutory reporting, while strengthening processes and systems. This is a hands-on, autonomy-rich role with direct influence on growth.

Job description

A confidential opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function within a successful and growing SME.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Directors, this is a broad and hands-on role providing financial insight, control and commercial support to the business. You will oversee the monthly finance cycle, management accounts, cash-flow forecasting, budgeting and forecasting, working capital and financial controls, as well as coordinating VAT, payroll, tax and statutory reporting.

You will manage relationships with external accountants, advisers and banking partners, support funding requirements and provide meaningful analysis around profitability, margins, pricing and business performance.There is also a strong improvement agenda, with responsibility for strengthening processes, controls, systems and reporting, ensuring the business has the financial information it needs to make informed decisions and support its continued growth.

We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded finance professional who is comfortable operating in an SME environment and enjoys taking ownership. You will be hands-on, pragmatic and confident working closely with senior management, with the ability to provide constructive challenge and turn financial information into meaningful business insight.
