Job summary

Investigo is seeking a hands-on Group Finance Manager for a PE-backed technology group, based in London/Surrey with hybrid working. You will own the finance function for one operating business, with potential to broaden across a portfolio of UK entities over time.

In this high-visibility role you’ll lead month-end close, management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and business partnering, while strengthening controls and driving process improvements across finance.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Finance role.
• Strong management accounting, month-end close and financial reporting experience.
• Exposure to audit, statutory reporting and tax compliance activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• SME/multi-entity/group environment experience advantageous.
• Hands-on role with broad responsibility and high ownership.
• Strong systems and Excel skills.

Group Finance Manager | PE backed Technology | London/Surrey Hybrid working

£70,000-£80,000 + Bonus and excellent benefits

I'm partnering with a rapidly growing software and technology group that is expanding both organically and through acquisition. As the business continues to scale, they are looking to appoint a hands-on UK Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function for one of their operating businesses, with the opportunity to broaden their remit across a portfolio of UK entities over time.

This is a highly visible role offering a combination of financial control, management reporting, business partnering and process improvement. You'll work closely with local leadership teams whilst supporting Group Finance, helping to strengthen controls, improve reporting quality and drive finance best practice across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Own the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.

Management Information

Produce high-quality management accounts and insightful commentary to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Controls & Governance

Strengthen financial controls, improve accounting processes and ensure accuracy and consistency of financial information.

Business Partnering

Work closely with operational stakeholders, providing financial support, analysis and commercial insight.

Audit & Compliance

Manage relationships with auditors and advisors, supporting statutory reporting, compliance and year-end processes.

Process Improvement

Drive efficiencies, standardisation and continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting.

Leadership

Support and develop local finance resources whilst helping to build a scalable finance function across multiple businesses.

What We're Looking For

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Finance position
• Strong management accounting, month-end close and financial reporting experience
• Experience improving financial controls and driving process improvementsExposure to audit, statutory reporting and tax compliance activities
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
• Experience operating within an SME, multi-entity or group environment would be advantageous
• Comfortable working in a hands-on role with broad responsibility and high levels of ownership
• Strong systems and Excel skills
