Job summary

Nous is seeking a senior finance professional to own the day-to-day engine room of finance. You’ll handle high-volume reconciliations, invoicing, and end-to-end finance operations, while designing controls and automation to scale with growth.

This role is hands-on and technical, with a path toward Financial Controller and beyond as the business scales. You’ll partner with engineering, product and GTM teams and play a critical role in investor reporting.

Qualifications

• Around 5+ years of finance experience in practice or industry.
• Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 2–3 years PQE or equivalent.
• Strong analytical mind and genuine love of accounting as a craft.
• Hands-on with reconcilations, invoicing, and month-end processes.
• Experience with modern data tooling beyond Excel and traditional accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Own high-volume reconciliations across customer, supplier and provider transactions.
• Manage invoicing cycle for supplier and provider base.
• Oversee finance operations end to end including payments and provider payouts.
• Design automated finance workflows using data and AI tools.
• Maintain up-to-date financial records and provide visibility into performance.
• Lead the month-end close and produce timely management accounts.
• Establish robust financial controls across payments and vendor management.
• Prepare for external audit and support investor reporting.
