Job summary

Semble is seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to own the financial operation across the UK and French entities. You will oversee month-end close, strengthen controls, and support the ongoing development of a scalable finance function with AI-enabled tools.

You will lead treasury and compliance activities, engage with external auditors, and collaborate with the CFO to provide accurate outputs for planning and decision-making in a growing SaaS business.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with UK GAAP FRS102 or IFRS experience.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS, software, tech, or subscription business, ideally in a high-growth VC/PE-backed company.
• Experience across multiple legal entities with consolidations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with senior stakeholders.
• Independent worker with problem-solving and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage a robust financial operation across UK and French entities.
• Lead monthly close and internal controls to deliver accurate management accounts.
• Oversee day-to-day treasury activities and compliance duties in UK/France.
• Identify opportunities to automate finance processes with AI-enabled tools.
• Support ESOP management and CoSec duties.
• Manage one direct report and collaborate with CFO and FP&A.
