Job summary

Legend London is recruiting a Financial Controller to own financial reporting, controls and strategic finance for its fast-growing international business. You will drive the adoption of ERP, AI and automation, lead multi-entity consolidations and partner with senior leadership to improve commercial decision-making.

The role demands hands‑on leadership, strong technical accounting, and a passion for continuous improvement in a founder-led, remote-first environment with plans for a London office.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• 5+ years post‑qualified experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Experience in ecommerce, retail, consumer goods or fast‑growing multi‑entity business.
• Experience preparing consolidated management accounts across international, multi‑currency group structures.
• Proven experience improving financial reporting, controls and processes.
• Audits, statutory reporting and tax compliance experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and business partnering skills.
• Advanced Excel and handling large data sets.
• Experience developing and leading finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close across all entities and deliver timely management accounts.
• Provide board reporting, KPIs and meaningful commercial commentary.
• Lead consolidation for UK and international operations.
• Drive ERP, AI, automation and system improvements across finance.
• Develop robust controls and governance and manage audits and tax compliance.
• Partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic financial insights and business partnering.
