Cytora is a digital risk processing AI-powered platform that enables commercial insurers to digitise all interactions with brokers, facilitating optimised risk workflows and control over the target portfolio. Cytora integrates data, processes, and people, allowing insurers to create multi-step risk flows that maximise efficiency and tailor risk processing according to risk appetite, portfolio, and automation objectives.

The Role

As we continue to grow and evolve in the insurance industry, we are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual with strong analytical skills and high attention to detail to support our finance team.

We need someone capable of taking the lead on daily transactional activities with a positive attitude and a proactive mindset, contributing to the continuous improvement of the team and the company as a whole.

What you will be doing
  • Managing the accounts email address and developing strong relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Managing and processing quarterly VAT
  • Managing monthly task schedules, bookkeeping, and all ledgers (sales/purchases)
  • Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and ad hoc finance tasks (accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register)
  • Assisting with payroll and pension uploads
  • Supporting the finance team during audit periods and fundraising
  • Processing expenses
Skills required
  • Degree in Finance and Accounting or a similar field
  • Previous experience with Xero
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great team player
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Basic understanding of double entry bookkeeping

The role is part-time, approximately 2 days a week, paid hourly. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone seeking valuable work experience.

Location

Cytora is a remote-first company. You can be located anywhere in the UK.
