Job summary

Johnston Fuels is recruiting a Finance Apprentice to join the growing Finance team at our Head Office in Bathgate on a full-time basis. The role covers purchase ledger, supplier queries, and using Fuelsoft/Laserfiche with Microsoft Office to ensure accurate processing across multiple group companies.

You will become a systems expert, support high-volume AP tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement while gaining a nationally recognised qualification (SCQF Level 6) through the apprenticeship

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and handle enquiries for the finance team.
• Process invoices, credits and supplier transactions using Fuelsoft/Laserfiche.
• Support high-volume accounts payable and monthlyBACS runs.
• Maintain supplier/customer data and perform ledger housekeeping.
• Assist with system use and process improvement within the AP function.
