Job summary

Mears Housing Management is recruiting a Resident Welfare Officer to support vulnerable individuals, helping them access resources and move to settled accommodation. This front-line role blends admin, practical tasks, and pastoral support, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and service delivery.

You will manage a diary, inspect properties, raise repairs, and maintain regular contact with service users through visits and calls, while coordinating with local services to secure appropriate

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, support, or welfare services.
• Strong safeguarding focus and people skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential for travel between properties.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own diary and property portfolio.
• Carry out property inspections and raise work orders for repairs.
• Balance administrative duties with direct support work.
• Maintain regular contact with service users face-to-face and by phone.
• Assist with appointments, referrals, and move-on processes.
• Support service users with health, finances, and access to resources.
