Job summary

Mears Group in Glasgow is seeking a Housing Support Officer to help asylum seekers through the Home Office right-to-work process. You will provide practical and emotional support, monitor wellbeing, and keep accurate records for compliance and contract standards.

The role covers managing a portfolio of homes, coordinating move-ins and move-outs, conducting inspections, and liaising with internal teams and external agencies to ensure the right support is in place.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Demonstrate empathy and effective communication.
• Accurate record keeping and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support asylum seekers throughout their Home Office application process.
• Provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families.
• Identify needs and put in place support packages to promote independence.
• Manage a portfolio of homes, coordinating move-ins, move-outs, voids and inspections.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies and care providers to ensure appropriate support.
