Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to grow our local trade customer base across London and beyond. This field-based role focuses on winning new business, building trust, and converting conversations into long‑term partnerships with depot teams.

You’ll develop product knowledge in joinery and hardware while managing an autonomous workload and delivering sustained growth. In this role you’ll cultivate strong relationships, manage a busy pipeline, and contribute to depot

Qualifications

• Track record of winning new business or working in a target-driven sales role.
• Confident engaging trade customers from first conversation.
• Self-motivated, resilient with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to build product knowledge in joinery and hardware.
• Strong organisation skills for a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by proactively approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into new accounts.
• Grow the account base across the territory, supporting each depot’s performance.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model and clarify its benefits.
• Collaborate with depot teams to grow spend and trading frequency.
• Build lasting relationships with new and existing account holders.
• Own customer enquiries from first contact to resolution.
• Contribute to team meetings with insights and performance updates.
• Keep data current and visible across activity and pipeline.
• Work safely and in line with Health & Safety standards.
