Job summary

TechMet Ltd. is seeking a multi-talented Technical Support Engineer to install, configure and test CCTV/alarms and related systems across NI and Ireland.

You will deliver on-site and remote support, stay current with new technologies and assist in pre-sales demonstrations. Ideal candidates have a mix of engineering and IT skills, a BTEC/HNC in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, and 1+ years in technical support or installation within security services.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in technical support/installation role, preferably in electronics or fire & security.
• Experience with PC-based support tools and diagnostics.
• Full clean driving license and eligibility for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain and support systems at customer sites.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Proactively implement contingency procedures to improve service.
• Feedback customer ideas to Development for product improvement.
• Carry the support phone on rota and provide out-of-hours assistance.
• Assist with pre-sales activities, product demonstrations and trade shows.
