Job summary

RES Renewables, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Field Based Technical Sales Engineer to cover East England. You will conduct surveys, design heat pump solutions, prepare proposals and handovers, and oversee MCS projects on site. Travel to installations with installers and homeowners is required.

You’ll provide technical support, translate complex data for customers, and contribute to a strong installation network with training and career progression within Wolseley Talent Guild.

Qualifications

Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
LCL/BPEC Heat Pump Design & Installation qualification.
G3 Unvented Hot Water, WRAS and MCS standards knowledge.
Experience in low-temperature hydraulic design and electrical fault-finding.

Responsibilities

Conduct technical site surveys and agree system specifications with installers and homeowners.
Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations, designs and proposals with quotes.
Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects and ensure compliance.
Provide phone-based and remote technical support and maintain installer relations.
