Barnsley Hospital seeks an Assistive Technology Technician to manage field-based installation, servicing and fault-finding of high-value AT equipment across community and clinical settings.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, support remote desk operations and build specialist knowledge in designated AT areas while ensuring safety and reissuing equipment where needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification equivalent to Level 4 or higher and experience in engineering roles.
• Committed to working towards Clinical Technologist registration.
• Experience in field servicing of equipment and components.

Responsabilités

• Install, service, maintain and fault-find Assistive Technology equipment in clients' homes and clinical settings.
• Provide remote technical assistance via technical support desk rota.
• Inspect, repair, refurbish and recommission AT equipment to ensure safety and fitness for reissue.
• Develop specialist knowledge in AT and advise colleagues on technical issues.
