Job summary

AMS Skills Creation is partnering with the Office for National Statistics on a Census Test, recruiting Field Team Leaders to coordinate Household Officers across assigned areas. The role centers on leading teams in the field, planning workloads, and ensuring safety and data quality in a dynamic environment.

You will receive comprehensive training and travel within your area, with support to manage and motivate staff and engage with diverse communities throughout the project duration.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership, supervisory or coaching experience.
• Confidence using a laptop and smartphone, including various digital applications.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Self-discipline, self-motivation, and confidence working without close supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing and motivating a team to achieve project objectives.
• Planning workloads, monitoring progress, and ensuring field activities meet safety, security and data quality standards.
• Monitoring progress and performance against operational targets.
• Providing guidance, coaching and support to team members.
• Maintaining accurate records and using digital systems to manage activity.
