Job summary

AMS Skills Creation is recruiting for a Census Test Field Team Leader (Household) to coordinate a team of Household Officers across Monmouthshire in a field-based role for approximately 8 weeks starting February 2027. You will lead, coach and plan workloads to ensure safety, quality and high engagement with local households.

The role requires prior leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work flexibly including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory/coaching experience.
• Confident using a laptop and smartphone, including various digital apps.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Self-discipline, self-motivation and confidence working without close supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team to achieve project objectives.
• Plan workloads, monitor progress, allocate and ensure field activities meet safety, security and data quality standards.
• Monitor progress and performance against operational targets.
• Provide guidance, coaching and support to team members.
• Maintain accurate records and use digital systems to manage activity.
