Job summary

AMS Skills Creation, in partnership with the Office for National Statistics (ONS), is recruiting for a Census Test Field Team Leader (Household). You will coordinate a Household Officers team across your area, delivering field activities to high standards while working in the community.

This 8-week, 37-hour week role offers comprehensive training, travel within your area, and the chance to contribute to shaping UK public services.

Qualifications

Experience in leadership, supervisory or coaching roles.
Comfortable using a laptop and smartphone with various apps.
Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Self-discipline, motivation and confidence working without close supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
BPSS checks include identity and right to work.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate a team to achieve project objectives.
Plan workloads and monitor progress, ensuring field activities meet safety, security and data-quality standards.
Monitor progress against operational targets and adjust as needed.
Provide guidance, coaching and support to team members.
Maintain accurate records and use digital systems to manage activity.
