Job summary

Labman Automation is seeking a Support Engineer based at Jealott's Hill in Southeast England to maintain and repair laboratory automation systems across the UK and abroad. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software issues, carry out preventative maintenance, and install systems for customers, helping them get the best from Labman equipment.

In this role you’ll build strong customer relationships, provide hands-on and remote technical support, and travel regularly to customer sites

• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair Labman laboratory automation systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, upgrades and reactive fault-finding across mechanical, electrical and software issues.
• Provide hands-on and remote technical support, investigating problems and identifying effective long-term solutions.
• Test system performance and ensure equipment continues to meet Labman quality and safety standards.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide operator and basic maintenance training.
• Complete clear and accurate service reports, maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Work closely with our engineering teams, with regular travel to customer sites across the UK and internationally, as well as visits to Labman HQ and Liverpool.
• Travel to customer sites across the UK and internationally for installations, maintenance, investigations and upgrades.
