Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Customer Support Engineer to install, commission and maintain communications and network systems. The role involves 70% site-based work across the UK and international travel, with a defence-focused, hands-on environment.

You will handle 2nd-line support, FATs, customer trials, and the delivery of training and demonstrations, while documenting requirements and collaborating with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with RF/Radio, Datalinks, and Networking (TCP/IP).
• Background in telecommunications or communications systems in defence or complex environments.
• Hands-on installation/commissioning/field service experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain communications and network systems.
• Provide 2nd-line technical support and repair.
• Conduct customer site surveys and troubleshoot technically.
• Perform FAT and customer trials; deliver training and demonstrations.
• Capture requirements and produce technical documentation.
• Collaborate with customers and internal engineering teams.
• Role is predominantly field-based with UK and international travel.
