Job summary

Quartz Recruitment Specialists Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and repair MFDs across the South West. You will diagnose electrical, mechanical and network faults and use remote diagnostics to understand issues before visiting customer sites.

Full manufacturer training and progression into senior roles are offered, with options for full-time, part-time or a 4-day week. A company vehicle or mileage-paid option is also provided.

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
• Confidence with IT and networking, or a willingness to learn.
• A logical, methodical approach.
• A full UK driving licence and the ability to pass a DBS check.
• A home base in Devon, Cornwall or Somerset.

Responsibilities

That’s the job. The rest can be taught.

I’m recruiting a Field Service Engineer for a well-established, independent office technology business with a loyal and growing customer base across the South West. They service photocopiers and multifunction devices (MFDs), promote from within, train their engineers to manufacturer standard and look after their people.

You don’t have to be a photocopier engineer already.

If you’re an experienced MFD engineer, brilliant. If you come from a related field and you’re ready to cross-train, I want to hear from you too. That includes:

Electrical or electro-mechanical engineers

ATM, vending, EPOS or appliance engineers

The fault-finding skills transfer. Full manufacturer-accredited training covers the rest.

What the role involves

• Installing, maintaining and repairing MFDs on customer sites
• Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and network faults
