Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain installations across UK sites, with a fixed-term 6-month contract. The role covers 30 hours per week, on the road and at customer sites, requiring a valid UK driving licence and readiness for occasional night/weekend work.

Pay is £17 per hour and you will ensure high standards of maintenance and installation. The role demands hands-on technical ability, strong fault diagnosis, and diligent record-keeping while supporting store

Qualifications

Proven field service experience and the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues.
Strong technical aptitude for troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Effective communication with supervisors, peers, and customers.
Willingness to work nights/weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware: diagnose issues, install, replace and configure per standards.
Perform routine preventative maintenance to identify potential issues.
Respond promptly to service calls and ensure SLAs are met.
Maintain accurate records of service activities with company tools.
Assist in onboarding/scanning products into the system.
Attend installations at client sites, including night hours when required.
Ensure installations follow plans, using power tools safely.
