Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain installations across the United Kingdom. The role requires working on-site and traveling to customer sites, with a 6-month fixed-term contract and a minimum of 30 hours per week. A full UK driving licence is essential.

You will diagnose hardware issues, perform preventative maintenance, install equipment, and ensure safety and quality KPIs are met. Weekend or night work may be required as part of schedules.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience or similar work.
• Strong technical aptitude with hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality standards.
• Good time management to meet deadlines and service SLAs.
• Strong communication with customers and team members.
• Willingness to work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware: diagnose issues, install, replace and configure per standards.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance to identify and address issues.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities and time spent.
• Onboarding/scanning products into the system.
• Attend installations at various client sites during night hours when required.
• Install Focal Systems product onto shelves, ceilings, and equipment per plans.
• Operate power tools safely to complete installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely installations and quality.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet KPIs.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors.
