Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to maintain installations across the UK, including Newcastle upon Tyne. The role involves on-site and on-the-road work, with a 6-month fixed-term contract and 30 hours per week.

A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites are required. Responsibilities include diagnosing hardware issues, performing preventative maintenance, installing product on shelves and fixtures, and ensuring safety and quality KPIs are met.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician Experience in a similar role.
• Strong technical aptitude with hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in using power tools and installation equipment.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware and installations.
• Diagnose issues, install, replace and configure equipment per standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service calls to meet SLAs.
• Document work performed, parts used and time spent in company systems.
• Attend installations during night hours when required.
• Operate power tools safely and adhere to safety protocols.
