Job summary

Ecolab is seeking a Service Technician for Food & Beverage to support food safety and hygiene across customer sites. You will perform routine checks on dosing equipment, monitor chemical concentrations, and coordinate with laboratories on microbiological issues while developing customer-specific solutions.

Ideal candidates have formal training in food technology, several years in food production, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Qualified training in food technology (academic or vocational) with relevant qualifications.
• Several years of practical experience in food production or processing (especially dairy).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills and a structured and independent way of working.
• High degree of problem-solving orientation, flexibility and time management.
• Excellent knowledge of German and good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of service concepts in food technology, including routine visits to check chemical concentrations and dosing equipment.
• Coordinate with customer laboratories on microbiological issues.
• Develop and implement customer-specific solutions to problems.
• Conduct presentations and customer training.
• Sales-oriented project work for corporate account customers.
• Manage and maintain customer-related data, prepare reports and plan weekly activities.

Service Technician Food & Beverage:

How you’ll make an impact:

• Implementation of our service concept in the field of food technology, e.g. in the form of routine visits to check the chemical concentration, the functionality of our dosing equipment and the cleaning results
• Coordination with the customer’s laboratories on microbiological issues
• Development and implementation of customer-specific solutions to problems
• Conducting presentations and customer training
• Sales-oriented project work for corporate account customers
• Management and maintenance of customer-related data, report preparation and independent weekly planning

Qualifications:

• Qualified training in the field of food technology (preferably academic training or vocational training with relevant additional qualifications, e.g. technician)
• Several years of practical experience in the field of food production or processing (especially dairy)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills and a structured and independent way of working
• A high degree of problem-solving orientation, flexibility and time management
• Excellent knowledge of German and good written and spoken English
• Routine handling of MS Office programs
• Driver’s license and willingness to travel (regional)
