Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking a Field Service Specialist to be based in the East UK with a home-office setup. The role focuses 90% on customer facing activities, servicing Waters Materials Sciences instruments across diverse labs, with occasional international travel within the region.

You will diagnose, repair, calibrate, and install systems, while building strong customer relationships and contributing to sales through service contracts. A driving license and passport are required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent in relevant subject matters.
• Strong customer focus and professional communication with customers.
• Willingness to work as a home office service engineer and travel within territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service, training, diagnose and troubleshoot problems; assist with parts management.
• Repair, install, and calibrate instruments; gain knowledge of applications software.
• Prepare service reports and maintain manuals, notes, and drawings to support effectiveness.
• Document work in progress and completed work; submit paperwork timely to management.
• Maintain prompt professional communications with customers and internal resources.
• Effectively manage dispatch, calls, administration and inventory to meet business metrics.
