Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a Mechanical Service Engineer to join our Coventry site and train towards a field-based account management/service engineer role for a global manufacturer of precision engineered components.

The role includes an 80% reactive workload and 20% scheduled maintenance, with a comprehensive training program, including a spell in France, aimed at long-term career development in field service engineering.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer (ONC/HNC/HND+)
• Experience as Mechanical/Service Engineer in industrial capital equipment
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive field service work (80%) with specialist repairs and fault finding
• Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing
• Train and educate customers on equipment operation and care
• Support OEM/End User bases across multiple sites as needed
