Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection LTD is seeking an experienced Mechanical Service Engineer for a field-based role with a leading worldwide manufacturer of precision engineered components. The role includes a year-long training programme, with a placement in France, aimed at building a full career in Field Service Engineering from Coventry.

The position combines 80% reactive maintenance and 20% scheduled work, involving on-site servicing, fault finding and customer training.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer in industrial capital equipment.
• Qualified Mechanical Engineer (ONC, HNC or HND+).
• Strong interpersonal skills and mechanical understanding.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop to take over mechanical service engineering activity for OEMs and end users.
• Split workload: 80% reactive, 20% scheduled maintenance.
• Perform servicing, fault finding, and provide customer education on equipment.
