Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection LTD is recruiting a Mechanical Service Engineer based at Coventry. The role blends field service with a customer-facing focus, developing into a Field Service Engineer career within a multinational manufacturer of precision engineered components.

The position offers a training programme including a spell in France, extensive on-site work, and progression into key service engineering roles across OEM and end-user accounts.

Qualifications

• You're an experienced Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer from any industrial capital equipment background.
• You're a qualified Mechanical Engineer (ONC, HNC or HND +)
• You also need a strong (and ideally broad) Mechanical Engineering understanding with excellent inter-personal skills.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop with a view to taking over mechanical service engineering activity.
• Handle 80% reactive work and 20% scheduled maintenance.
• Educate customers on equipment and identify potential concerns before they arise.
