Job summary

Wallace Hind LLP in Coventry is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to train and develop, with the view of taking over the mechanical service engineering activity at a variety of OEM and End User client bases.

The role is split between 80% reactive and 20% scheduled work. Reactive work begins with a telephone call (guaranteed within 24 hours) with follow up visits to repair, fault find or performance review.

Qualifications

• You’re an experienced Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer from any industrial capital equipment background.
• You also need a strong (and ideally broad) Mechanical Engineering understanding with excellent inter-personal skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle reactive maintenance calls (80% reactive) with a guaranteed response within 24 hours.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance with client-specific frequency.
• Educate customers on how to get the best out of equipment and identify potential concerns before they arise.
