Job summary

McHale Komatsu seeks experienced Field Service Engineers to support Tungsten West at Plymouth. You will be based on a major customer site, delivering hands-on technical expertise to keep heavy equipment operating safely and efficiently.

You’ll service, maintain, diagnose and repair across site machinery, working with the customer and McHale Komatsu teams to minimise downtime and ensure reliable performance. A professional, customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience servicing and repairing heavy plant, construction, mining or similar equipment.
• Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, transmissions and auto-electrics.

Responsibilities

• Attend machine breakdowns and complete effective repairs to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults.
• Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues before they lead to failure.
• Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service.
