Job summary

Briggs Equipment Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Coventry area. This permanent, on-site role involves visiting customer sites, diagnosing issues, and coordinating with the customer on timelines and costs.

You will have a relevant technical qualification and experience in hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to work independently and under pressure. A strong focus on safety and customer needs is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification is required.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer locations to assess work, liaise on priorities and costs.
• Identify root causes and obtain correct parts cost-effectively.
• Ensure work complies with standards and safety requirements.
• Carry out inspections and ensure equipment is safe before handover.
• Identify additional work and inform the customer of costs.
