Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Electrical) to join our Grid Connections Service team. You will deliver inspections, maintenance, installation, commissioning and emergency support for medium-voltage electrical infrastructure across the UK.

You will work with a team of engineers to ensure safe operation of switchgear and transformers up to 33kV, with travel across the UK, overnight stays, and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical Engineer or Technician with power sector experience.
• Experience in electrical testing, commissioning and fault finding.
• Knowledge of MV switchgear, transformers and protection/ control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection, maintenance and repair on MV switchgear and transformers up to 33kV.
• Support commissioning, testing and energisation for Grid Connections projects.
• Diagnose faults and provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Complete service reports using approved digital systems.
