Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Electrical) to deliver inspection, maintenance, installation and commissioning for medium-voltage infrastructure up to 33kV. Working as part of a team of experienced engineers, you will support industrial and commercial customers, ensuring safe, reliable operation of switchgear, transformers and protection systems.

This is a highly mobile field role requiring travel across the UK with overnight stays, occasional weekends, and on-call

Qualifications

Qualified Electrical Engineer or Technician with power sector experience.
Experience in inspection, maintenance, commissioning or electrical distribution environments.
Knowledge of MV switchgear, transformers and protection relays.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, inspection, maintenance and repair on MV switchgear and transformers up to 33kV.
Support commissioning, testing and energisation activities for Grid Connections projects.
Diagnose faults and provide technical analysis on remote and on-site support.
Complete service reports using approved digital systems.
Support project delivery by ensuring quality, productivity and compliance targets.
