Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Electrical) to deliver inspection, maintenance, installation and commissioning for medium-voltage infrastructure up to 33kV. Working as part of a team of experienced engineers, you will support industrial and commercial customers, ensuring safe, reliable operation of switchgear, transformers and protection systems.

This is a highly mobile field role requiring travel across the UK with overnight stays, occasional weekends, and on-call

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical Engineer or Technician with power sector experience.
• Experience in inspection, maintenance, commissioning or electrical distribution environments.
• Knowledge of MV switchgear, transformers and protection relays.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection, maintenance and repair on MV switchgear and transformers up to 33kV.
• Support commissioning, testing and energisation activities for Grid Connections projects.
• Diagnose faults and provide technical analysis on remote and on-site support.
• Complete service reports using approved digital systems.
• Support project delivery by ensuring quality, productivity and compliance targets.
