Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our High Voltage team in the UK. You will execute on-site HV service activities, including installation, commissioning, refurbishments and maintenance for key customers, while upholding Hitachi Energy’s safety and quality standards.

You’ll coordinate parts, lead field activities from start to finish, and report progress to the project manager to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. A full driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering background with HV sector experience.
• Experience in installation, servicing, and maintenance of power equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience leading a team or coordinating subcontractors.
• Valid driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site service activities with emphasis on safety, quality, and schedules.
• Perform HV installation, commissioning, refurbishments, maintenance, and fault identification.
• Coordinate parts and materials to meet delivery and performance targets.
• Lead projects from start to finish under the project manager.
• Keep site docs and reports up to date and propose improvements.
• Apply safety rules and environmental responsibilities on site.
