Field Service Engineer (Commercial Gas)
£36k - £40k

Monday - Thursday 8 - 4.30pm, Friday 1.30pm.

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading Gas and Heating firm based in the Greater Belfast area. Our client installs and maintains heating systems across commercial premises in the greater Belfast area.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assemble and disassemble components using hand tools and power tools as necessary.
  • Perform plumbing tasks related to gas installations, including pipe fitting and connections.
  • Carry out heavy lifting when required, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Basic maths skills for calculations related to installations and repairs.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs.
  • Experience in commercial driving is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Certification in relevant gas safety regulations is required (e.g., Gas Safe Register).
  • A proactive approach to health and safety practices within the workplace.
