Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Power Generation) in Bolton to service, maintain and repair CHP and gas engines for a leading renewable energy provider. The role offers £37,000 - £38,750 basic plus overtime, a company vehicle, training and progression.

You will work at customer sites across the regional territory, performing electrical fault finding and repairs on three-phase systems while maintaining high safety standards and delivering first-time fixes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a service/maintenance engineer in power generation.
• Knowledge of CHP, gas engines or industrial generators.
• Time-served qualifications (NVQ/HNC) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service, maintenance and fault-finding on CHP and gas engines.
• Attend breakdowns at customer sites and report findings.
• Work Monday to Friday across the assigned territory.
• Ensure compliance with safety and equipment procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, maintenance, and breakdowns
• Working on CHP, GAS Engines and renewable energy systems
• Electrical fault finding and repairs (ComAp, three phase, drives, motors, PLC)
• Customer facing role
• Monday to Friday covering surrounding territory

Background Required:

• Experience working with 450KW+
• Familiar with CHP, Gas Engines, Generators, Industrial Plant or similar
• Experience as a Service Engineer/ Maintenance Engineer/ Marine Engineer
• Electrical or Mechanical qualifications or time served (NVQ, HNC or equivalent)
