Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Power Generation) in Bolton to service and maintain CHP and renewable energy systems. You will perform electrical fault finding on 3-phase motors, drives, PLCs, and provide strong customer support.

The role offers a base salary of £37k–£38,750 with overtime (OTE £60k+), a company vehicle, and ongoing training and progression opportunities within a growing energy sector.

Qualifications

• Experience with 450KW+ equipment.
• Experience with CHP, Gas Engines, Generators or industrial plant.
• Experience as a Service/Maintenance Engineer or Marine Engineer.
• Time served with electrical or mechanical qualifications (NVQ/HNC or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and breakdowns on CHP, gas engines and renewables.
• Electrical fault finding and repairs (ComAp, three phase, drives, motors, PLC).
• Customer facing role requiring clear communication.
• Monday to Friday coverage of surrounding territory.
