Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Power Generation) to join a leading renewable energy specialist in the Bolton area. You will service, maintain and repair CHP and gas engines, with a focus on electrical fault finding and hands-on diagnostics while traveling to customer sites.

The role offers a competitive base salary of £37,000–£38,750 plus overtime, a company vehicle, training and clear technical progression into more senior positions within a growing energy

Qualifications

• Experience with 450KW+ CHP, gas engines or generators.
• Electrical or mechanical qualifications or time served (NVQ/HNC or equivalent).
• Customer-facing role with field-based work.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and breakdowns on CHP and renewable energy systems.
• Electrical fault finding and repairs (ComAp, three phase, drives, motors, PLC).
• Customer-facing role with territory coverage.
