Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Power Generation) to service CHP and gas engines across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance and work on renewable energy systems inside a dynamic, growing organisation.

The role offers a competitive package (£37,000–£38,750) plus overtime, a company vehicle, training and clear technical progression into senior roles. Based in the London area with field visits across the territory.

Qualifications

• Experience with 450KW+ CHP, gas engines or similar is essential.
• Electrical or mechanical qualifications or time served required.
• Strong fault-finding and preventive maintenance skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and breakdown support across CHP and gas engines.
• Work on renewable energy systems and industrial plant.
• Electrical fault finding on three-phase systems, drives, motors and PLCs.
• Customer facing role with a field-based schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and breakdowns
• Working on CHP, GAS Engines and renewable energy systems
• Electrical fault finding and repairs (ComAp, three phase, drives, motors, PLC)
• Customer facing role
• Monday to Friday covering surrounding territory

Background Required

• Experience working with 450KW+
• Familiar with CHP, Gas Engines, Generators, Industrial Plant or similar
• Experience as a Service Engineer/ Maintenance Engineer/ Marine Engineer
• Electrical or Mechanical qualifications or time served (NVQ, HNC or equivalent)
