Field Service Engineer – Industrial Presses

Salary : £37,000 – £45,000 + Overtime + Benefits

We are recruiting a Field Service Engineer to support the servicing and maintenance of industrial press machinery for a long-established engineering business. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to work with robust, high-value equipment across a range of customer sites.

The Role

• Carry out planned servicing, breakdown response, and preventative maintenance on industrial presses
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults
• Install and commission new and refurbished machinery
• Provide technical advice and support to customers on-site
• Complete service reports, risk assessments and job documentation
• Travel to customer sites across the Midlands and wider UK, with occasional overnight stays

The Ideal Candidate

• Background as a Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Service Technician within heavy engineering or industrial machinery
• Experience with presses, CNC, hydraulics or similar equipment is highly advantageous
• Confident fault-finding skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
• Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-focused attitude
• Full UK driving licence essential
