Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking an Experienced Scheduling Coordinator in Dunmow to manage line-haul and field-based schedules, coordinate customer appointments, and ensure smooth workflows from booking to completion.

You will serve as the crucial link between customers, field teams and internal departments, organising workloads, travel, and documentation while adapting to changing priorities and urgent needs.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling field-based engineers/technicians/contractors or similar workforce.
• Strong diary and workload management experience.
• Experience coordinating multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Excellent customer communication skills.
• Confidence to make decisions when schedules change.
• Strong organisation and administration skills.
• Experience working across different departments.
• Ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
• Proactive approach to resolving scheduling and customer issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate busy daily and weekly schedules.
• Book and allocate customer jobs.
• Schedule field-based engineers and technicians.
• Plan workloads based on location, availability and job requirements.
• Organise travel and optimize routes between sites.
• Liaise with customers to arrange appointments and attendance.
• Keep customers updated throughout the process.
• Obtain required information before scheduled work.
• Prepare job packs and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate site and job paperwork as needed.
• Monitor jobs from booking to completion.
• Respond to changes, cancellations and urgent requirements.
• Rearrange schedules when priorities change.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ready work.
• Maintain accurate records in internal systems.
• Follow up on outstanding actions and completed work.
• Identify and resolve scheduling issues proactively.
• Provide general operational and administrative support to the wider team.
