Job summary

CooperVision is seeking a Business Development Manager – North to drive sales across a defined UK territory, combining field visits and remote engagement. You will plan coverage, deliver a blended contact strategy and build robust relationships with customers to meet annual targets.

The role requires proven sales achievement, ability to coach customers and colleagues, and comfort with travel and product training in a field-based environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in defining and achieving sales results.
• Awareness and ability to positively impact prospects and existing customers with coaching style.
• Strong track record of achieving targets in organisations requiring interpersonal influence at all levels.
• Excellent relationship-building, listening and coaching skills.
• Understanding of sales processes and probing questions.
• Highly proactive and able to work solo or in a team to meet objectives.
• Ability to manage a large geographical sales area.
• Experience in the optical industry is preferable.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Define territory coverage and implement a blended contact strategy.
• Build strong customer relationships to achieve annual sales targets.
• Develop and introduce new products to customers.
• Deliver training to retail staff and coordinate clinical training with the Professional Services team.
• Represent the company at seminars, exhibitions and meetings.
• Collaborate with Regional Managers to support commercial and educational programmes.
