Job summary

Copello is seeking a proactive field-based Technical Sales professional to develop the North of England and Scotland territory, building new customer relationships and driving commercial growth. You will work with internal teams to identify solutions and move opportunities from initial contact to order.

Ideal candidates have a sales or customer service background in engineering or technical environments, are willing to travel, and can manage their own diary while aiming to exceed targets and

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, customer service or a commercial role, ideally within engineering, manufacturing or a technical environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and developing new business.
• Commercial awareness and ability to understand customer needs.
• Good organisation skills with the ability to manage workload and pipeline.
• Willingness to learn technical products and develop sales capabilities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the North of England and Scotland.
• Build and maintain relationships with engineering, procurement and commercial contacts.
• Research target markets, identify prospective customers and develop a strong sales pipeline.
• Understand customer requirements and work with internal technical teams to identify suitable solutions.
• Manage opportunities from initial contact through to quotation, negotiation and order.
• Develop existing accounts and identify opportunities for further business.
• Attend customer meetings, industry events and exhibitions.
• Maintain accurate sales records and work towards agreed commercial targets.
