Job Purpose

Are you seeking an exciting career that combines field operations experience, leadership, and the ability to support our customers across the North West? This crucial role involves managing the meter reading field operation during our next growth phase, AMP 8. Covering the South region of the North West (Merseyside/Cheshire/South Manchester), you will oversee field services teams delivering meter reading performance, water efficiency audits, and billing support. This home-based role requires frequent visibility with field teams across the southern North West, so a driving license is essential.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Implement company policies, procedures, and codes of practice to execute tasks and resolve issues
  • Manage four core field services in the south region: meter reading, water efficiency, affordability, and billing support
  • Communicate with customers, agents, and stakeholders, providing insights into operational performance
  • Lead, coach, and support a high-performing team through advice, guidance, and training
  • Develop and monitor operational plans and budgets, overseeing resource and scheduling activities
  • Assist in developing and communicating the strategic departmental plan
  • Handle customer complaints and escalations, maintaining a positive reputation and ensuring safety and compliance
  • Monitor team performance on safety, service, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction through regular visits
  • Manage HR activities, including performance reviews, training, sickness, absence, health and safety, and disciplinary matters
