About the role
You will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Asda Express Area Managers to deliver excellent service, colleague engagement, and operational excellence.
You will ensure your portfolio of stores is the top performer locally, evidenced through profitable growth and the delivery of clearly defined KRAs, with a strong commercial awareness of the local market. You will role model and champion the Asda values and our Leading Asda behaviours, setting high expectations for the leadership team to follow.
Your responsibilities include implementing and embedding change initiatives and new ways of working while ensuring all stores operate safely, legally, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
This role is field-based, requiring regional mobility within a defined geographic area, and working on a rota to provide weekend cover.
About you
You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, lead change programmes, and have an eye for detail with the ability to execute plans effectively.
You must possess substantial knowledge of store operations, multi-site management, store processes, and policies, along with a commercial awareness of the local market, competition, and regional trends.
You will seek opportunities to improve performance, prioritize workload effectively, and ensure stores deliver a best-in-class customer experience. Strong communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and influence are essential.
